Richmond Wood Norton embarks on local recruitment drive

Managers at a luxury retirement village in Evesham have announced plans to recruit more than 100 local jobs. Richmond Wood Norton is set to open its doors in March, with the team recruiting for a range of full and part time roles across the care, hospitality, spa therapy and fitness, maintenance, administration and housekeeping sectors.

A recruitment event will be held on Friday 18 (10am – 8pm) and Saturday 19 (10am-4pm) January, at the neighbouring Wood Norton Hotel, where prospective colleagues are invited to hear first-hand what it is like to work at a Richmond retirement village, from people currently in similar roles at other Richmond Villages.

Commenting on the village’s recruitment plans, Village Manager, Paul Brady says: “We’re in a fantastic position to be able to give a welcome boost to the local economy by bringing more than 100 new jobs to the area.

“While experience is important for some roles, what we’re really looking for is people that share our passion for helping people live longer, healthier and happier lives. As a new site, the village has state-of-the-art facilities, and we’re looking for colleagues with a dedication to match.”

Part of Bupa, Richmond Wood Norton will boast over 100 properties available to buy or rent as well as a 60 bed village care home. The village will support the needs and requirements of residents aged 55 and over, with a choice of exemplary retirement accommodation. This will include 61 independent living apartments, alongside 46 village suites which come with a lifestyle package including meals, housekeeping and laundry service.

Residents will have full use of the property’s state-of-the-art facilities and communal spaces – including a wellness spa, fitness suite, licensed bar, restaurant and private cinema – where daily social events will be held for both residents and members of the local community.

The village’s beautifully designed care home has 60 luxurious en suite bedrooms and will offer care to the frail and elderly, as well as those living with dementia.

With the first residents just weeks away from moving in, Paul Brady and his team are also holding a healthcare professionals event on the 16 January, to give local GP’s, district nurses and care workers a preview of the village and its state-of-the-art facilities.
