Are heart attacks the same for men and women?

Summary

Dr Luke Powles, Associate Clinical Director at Bupa UK, comments on the signs of a heart attack in women and how they can be slightly different to men.

He said: "Although most people, men and women, have the well-known symptom of crushing chest pain, women are more likely to have less typical symptoms of a heart attack, such as abdominal pain or numbness in the hands or feet, as an example."
