Bupa UK recognised amongst top 5 companies where people want to work
Bupa UK has been named in the top five most sought-after places to work in the UK in LinkedIn’s 2019 Top Companies List.
The list, which reveals the top companies where UK professionals want to work now – and stick around once they’re in, is compiled using a data-driven approach that looks at the actions of LinkedIn members. Other companies on the list include Amazon, JPMorgan Chase & Co, and GSK.
David Hynam, Bupa UK CEO, said: “I’m absolutely delighted to see Bupa recognised as one of the UK’s top five companies to work for. Compiled by LinkedIn, the list considers a whole range of factors including people engagement and retention.
“Inclusivity in the workplace is something close to my heart and I’m hugely proud of ‘Be you at Bupa’ – our commitment to ensure that all colleagues are comfortable being themselves at work.”
Now in its fourth year, LinkedIn analyses UK members’ anonymised actions to generate the list of top 25 companies. It focuses on actions across four main pillars: interest in the company, engagement with the company’s employees, job demand and employee retention.
Becky Hogan, Talent and Learning Director at Bupa UK, said: “I’m beyond thrilled to see Bupa UK ranked number five in LinkedIn’s top companies list. I’m biased, but I have to totally agree.
“Bupa has a pretty distinctive character. We laugh a lot - because life’s too short to be too serious all the time. There’s spirit in what we do and we like connecting with others. We’re a diverse and inclusive organisation, and our Be you at Bupa attitude is all about being able to bring your whole self to work and belonging.”
