Bupa Global research reveals the most popular diets

New research from Bupa Global has shown that whilst health and wellbeing is an increasing priority for people around the world, many of us are turning to short-term diets to get healthy. The research, which paints a picture of health and wellbeing trends globally, has shown that short-term fixes like cleanses and fasts are at the fore – like the Juice Diet, which is the most popular diet globally. On average, the research found that dieters last just 88 days before falling off the ‘diet wagon’.

Head of Clinical Operations, Dr. Søren Carstens, says: “Over the past few years, we’ve seen such a huge number of new diets enter the market as people increasingly seek short-term solutions for weight loss and health improvement. However, as you can see from the research, many of these are unsustainable in the long run.”
